Job summary

You will gain exposure to capital project tracking, fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and financial reporting, while partnering with the Finance team on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree in Finance, Business, or related studies.
• Sophomore status by the start of the internship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support capital project tracking, including budget-to-actual analysis, spend monitoring, and project status reporting.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting activities, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, and reconciliation of the fixed asset register.
• Support the maintenance of depreciation schedules and assist with monthly depreciation calculations and reporting.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed.
• Partner with the Finance team on process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather financial information and support ongoing projects.
• Complete and present an assigned finance project that delivers meaningful business insights or process improvements.
