Job summary

Eaton’s Field Service Engineer Internship offers hands-on projects in electrical power distribution, mentored by experienced leaders. You’ll work on real customer assignments and develop technical skills through a structured training program.

The internship includes exposure to power systems, diagnostics, and field service activities, with opportunities to present outcomes to leaders and explore long-term engineering careers at Eaton.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or graduated with an engineering degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 overall.
• Eaton does not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or other visa programs.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments including design, testing, or research.
• Gain knowledge in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, power quality, and design.
• Generate timely service reports on work, performance and warranties.
