Farm Service Agency, part of the Department of Agriculture, is offering a Pathways Student Internship for students from high school through graduate school. Locations are negotiable within FSA's Southwest Area, with interview-stage location discussions encouraged.

The program provides on-the-job training related to farm loan programs, exposure to state/county offices, and opportunities for potential conversion to a permanent role upon completion of program requirements.

Formación

• Education must be from an accredited institution and transcripts may be required.
• Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a qualifying school and taking at least half-time course load.
• Pathways eligibility requires meeting program requirements and completion hours before graduation.

Responsabilidades

• Performs a variety of duties related to farm loan program work within FSA.
• Receiving on-the-job training in programs or activities at the State/County FSA Offices.
• Track, maintain, and report on status of assigned projects.
• Logs proposals in the electronic tracking system.
• Ensures financial and technical reports have been received and approved.
• Greets and receives visitors; distributes correspondence.
• May assemble award documents and ensure packages are complete.
