Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking student co-ops for the 2027 calendar year at its encapsulation plant in Portage, Wisconsin. This paid co-op offers a housing allowance stipend and paid company holidays, with projects in chemical and mechanical engineering.

Co-ops will contribute to day-to-day operations, develop engineering designs, and produce reports under guidance from project leaders. Expect 40–50 hours per week during January to August 2027, with mentorship and hands-on manufacturing

Qualifications

• Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Involvement in the day-to-day operations of a world-class encapsulation plant as a project engineer
• Develop engineering design to solve real world problems
• Develop project technical requirements, schedules and estimates
• Drive reviews with cross functional teams to address concerns in project implementation
• Support other engineers in project activities
• Producing written summary reports and presentations
• Working 40-50 hours per week, occasionally working some late days or weekends as project work requires
