Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking students enrolled in an accredited EMT program to join our Emergency Transport team as part of a paid EMT Apprentice program. This entry path offers hands-on experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and EVOC training, with potential tuition deferment options.

Work is conducted under PA DOH supervision with a focus on building competencies in basic life support, patient care, and emergency communications within a busy EMS system.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited EMT program.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, administers basic life support to patients at scene and en route to hospital.
• Assists in patient rescue and extrication as needed.
• Completes patient care forms and ambulance checklists accurately and promptly.
