Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking undergraduate students for the IDRH Scholars in Digital Humanities program for Fall 2026. Scholars will contribute to digital humanities research, learn digital methods, and gain professional development through hands-on projects and presentations.

Participants will work about 5 hours per week during Fall 2026, with potential renewal for Spring 2027. Applicants should be KU undergraduates with interest in humanities and willingness to learn new software tools.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in humanities research as shown in application materials.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn new software tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with digital humanities research projects led by faculty.
• Learn to use tools such as Adobe Photoshop, ESRI ArcGIS, Omeka.
• Present findings at the end of the semester with supervisor.
