Job summary

Republic Services offers a Technician Apprenticeship program across the United States to train entry-level diesel mechanics through a two-year curriculum. The program begins with nine weeks of paid training at the Technical Institute in Dallas, TX, followed by 22 months of on-the-job training at a designated shop.

Apprentices may progress to a Level C Technician and receive mentorship throughout. The program includes leadership development, life skills, and wellness, with housing accommodations

Qualifications

• Two-year Technician Apprenticeship program training in key vehicle systems.
• Training includes electrical diagnosis, air systems, wheel ends, hydraulics and preventative maintenance.
• Mentorship and on-the-job training with potential advancement to Level C Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet.
• Assist, learn and apply electrical, hydraulic, air system diagnostics.
• Engage in on-the-job training under supervision at Republic locations.
