Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwest Ohio is seeking a Development Intern (Spring 2027) in Cincinnati, OH. You will work with the Development Team to support donor management, events, and fundraising campaigns while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership and community stewardship.

The paid, part‑time internship offers flexible hours and exposure to donor databases (Exceed/Salesforce), event planning, and donor communications.

Qualifications

• Student in a nonprofit management, business, communication studies, or organizational leadership degree program (preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Detail‑oriented and well‑organized
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a collaborative, team‑oriented organization

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Development Director and Database Manager helping with seasonal special events
• Assist with logistical support for events and auction solicitation/execution
• Assist volunteer management for events
• Assist with donor tours for donor groups (potential and existing)
• Database training on Exceed/Salesforce with Database Manager
• Enter and process gifts; update donor files/gifts
• Support donor stewardship calls and stewardship mailings
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
