Job summary

The Beck Group in Austin, TX is seeking Construction Project Management/Field Interns to join project teams across our offices. This entry-level internship spans Project Management, Superintendent, and Preconstruction, and mirrors an entry-level Project Engineer/Estimator role with duties in administration, field engineering, and documentation.

Interns gain real-world experience on construction drawings, logs, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and safety compliance, with paid hours at 40/week.

Qualifications

• College student pursuing a Construction or related degree preferred.
• Past internships within architectural, engineering, or commercial construction preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of project documents.
• Experience using Excel, Bluebeam, and Revit or comparable construction technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist administration, field engineering, and documentation of the construction project.
• Develop Submittal Logs, Specification Logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
• Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals.
• Update the project schedule and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure OSHA and Beck safety standards on site.
