Job summary

EMC Insurance offers a summer internship in the Marketing & Communications department in Des Moines. You will work with the Community Involvement Manager and Coordinator to support events, community partnerships, and volunteer opportunities.

The role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail, with exposure to project coordination and content creation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant major in communications, PR or related field.
• Completion of junior year is required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Related coursework preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Summer full-time paid internship in Marketing & Communications.
• Assist with EMC-sponsored community events and coordinate details with partner organizations.
• Maintain and promote volunteer opportunities, and communicate Volunteer Time Off (VTO) options.
• Support the annual workplace giving campaign with planning and communications.
• Assist the Marketing & Communications team with project coordination, copywriting and proofreading.
