Poznecki-Camarillo (PCI) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join our Internship Program. This program offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional and collaborative environment while working alongside experienced professionals in the fields of Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Involvement, Mapping/Surveying, HR, Marketing, or Accounting.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Work in an office setting with occasional site visits.
  • Uphold PCI’s professional standards and integrity.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to project locations.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo (PCI) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join our Internship Program. This program offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional and collaborative environment while working alongside experienced professionals in the fields of Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Involvement, Mapping/Surveying, HR, Marketing, or Accounting. As an Intern at PCI, you will participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the firm’s operations and growth, all while developing valuable professional and technical skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work directly with professionals across one or more disciplines (Civil Engineering, Environmental, Public Involvement, Surveying, and Business Operations).

EDUCATION
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, GIS, Surveying, Forestry, Ecology, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Work performed in an office setting, with occasional opportunities to join field/site visits.
  • Interns are expected to uphold PCI’s professional standards, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Able to drive to project locations
  • Eligible to work in the United States
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous internship or project experience in engineering, environmental studies, communications, or business-related fields.
  • Familiarity with technical writing, data analysis, or research projects.
  • Experience with office productivity, design, mapping, or collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability through academic, extracurricular, or volunteer activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning in a professional environment.

Working conditions are primarily in a mixed office and home-based setting with occasional requirements to operate a company vehicle and perform site visits.
