Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of McAllen is offering a Nurse Aide in Training program with paid on-the-job training at no cost. Trainees will learn on the floor under supervision, and may become eligible for Education Assistance to become a Certified Nurse Aide.

During onboarding, individuals will perform non-clinical duties as Hospitality Aide while gaining exposure to daily resident care, charting in EMR, and supporting the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living per individualized care plans.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Measure and record vital signs and document in EMR.
• Support care team by performing non-clinical tasks during onboarding.
• Answer call lights promptly and ensure resident comfort and safety.
