Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is highly preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with comfort and safety; including reporting situations that may cause accidents.
• Carry out duties per resident care policy and procedure.
• Assist in daily care tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and observing intake.
• Utilize and log care provided into Electronic Medical Records system.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Observe symptoms and changes and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain care equipment and supplies.
• Walk or push wheelchair for ambulatory residents as required.
• Move residents with lifting and transfers as needed (up to 50+ pounds).
• Answer call lights promptly and assess needs with Charge Nurse guidance.
• Provide good customer service in sensitive, emotional situations.
• Other duties as assigned by Administrator or Nurse Management.
• Prior to Nurse Aide class, work as Hospitality Aide for two weeks.
