Job summary

Federated Insurance in Indianapolis, IN is offering a paid claims intern position for about 10 weeks in the summer of 2027. You will learn claims processes, teamwork, customer service, and decision-making, and you will be a valued member of the team.

The internship begins with two weeks of training at our Home Office in Owatonna, MN, and then supports Claims personnel across Auto, Liability, Property and Workers' Compensation with various duties.

Qualifications

• Current junior standing pursuing a Business or Criminal Justice Bachelor degree.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Strong computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Support Claims personnel with telephone coverage and correspondence.
• Facilitate client interactions regarding claim processing.
• Collaborate with supervisor and teammates on progress and issues.
• Assist Federated clients by working with other interns and recent grads.
• Participate in office and team meetings/trainings.
• Present an outline of the internship experience to P&C Claims leadership.
