Job summary

HGA in Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN seeks a Summer Civil Engineering Intern for a paid, 12-week position starting June 1, 2027. The internship offers hands-on experience across site development, stormwater analysis, and regulatory research, with mentorship from our project teams.

You will work with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Revit to assist in plans, calculations, and reviews while collaborating across disciplines on healthcare, education, science, arts, and government projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program required.
• Degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's) preferred.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering plans and drawings using Civil 3D.
• Perform stormwater calculations and analysis.
• Utilize HydroCAD to support stormwater design.
• Research stormwater regulations and site plan approvals.
• Review geotechnical reports and integrate findings into designs.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to support deliverables.
• Participate in construction site visits to observe field conditions.
