Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a Lump Sum Wk 2 Spanish Culture Camp Medical Counselor to support a youth recruitment camp. You will engage campers enthusiastically and ensure a positive experience while following camp policies. The posting notes a pay of $300 and lunch is included for counselors.

Dates are August 10–13 with hours 8:30 am–4:15 pm; you may need to attend a pre-camp meeting. A background check and trainings are required to participate.

Qualifications

• Background check for position of trust and vulnerable populations.
• Complete youth policy trainings as required.
• Excellent organization, communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and team orientation.
• Complete UWSP Conferences and Events trainings before start.

Responsibilities

• Engage campers energetically and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain head counts and report missing campers to director.
• Escort campers between activities and assist instructors.
• Enforce camp rules, safety policies and procedures.
• Administer medications as trained and log in CampDoc.
• Collaborate with staff and recruit future students and families.
• Demonstrate integrity, confidence and teamwork as a role model.
• Fulfill duties as assigned by program manager.
