Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is offering a paid Spring 2027 internship for rising Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students at NC locations. The role focuses on project-based research, mentorship, and cross-department collaboration to develop solutions for member needs.

Interns will gain exposure to branch services, perform general administrative tasks, and provide excellent member service. The program requires 10–12 weeks, 10+ hours weekly, and a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Currently enrolled full-time at a US – NC based accredited university/college.
• Must commit to a 10–12-week internship program.
• Must commit to at least 10 hours per week.
• GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or without receiving CPT/OPT through university/college.
• Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project-based research and prepare a presentation for leadership at the end of the program.
• Collaborate with branch coworkers and departments across the organization to assist in research and development of projects.
• Understand SECU products and services and provide recommendations to membership based on needs.
• Gain entry-level exposure to branch services and operations.
• Perform administrative duties such as greeting members, answering phones, filing paperwork, and other clerical tasks.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service through interactions with members.
