Job summary

Cox Automotive is offering a paid 12-week apprenticeship program to train you as a General Service Technician. You’ll learn hands-on automotive skills with a mentor, earning wages while you develop core maintenance abilities and a pathway to a potential full-time GST position.

Completion standards apply, with a $1,500 tool bonus possible if you meet program goals. If standards aren’t met, you may be exited from the program. No guaranteed employment after the program.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of related automotive experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor technician for coaching and guidance.
• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform basic auto maintenance tasks, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush and vehicle inspection.
• Learn to safely use tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced shop.
• Perform other duties as assigned by mentor, supervisor or manager.
