GreenStone Farm Credit Services invites applicants for a Credit Internship in Little Chute, WI, Traverse City, MI or Mt. Pleasant, MI. The paid internship offers hands-on experience in agricultural lending and is geared toward students pursuing finance, economics or agriculture degrees.

You will work with Credit Analysts, gain practical underwriting skills, and contribute to real projects while learning about rural community lending and GreenStone’s systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, finance, accounting or economics.
• Agriculture background or interest preferred.
• Sophomore status or above in your academic program.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn from Experts: Work closely with an experienced Agricultural Lending Credit Analyst to gain valuable insights into credit underwriting for agriculture.
• Harness Data: Use GreenStone systems to gather, analyze, and present data for various projects within timelines.
• Financial Analysis: Input, analyze, and present information crucial to lending decisions.
• Stay Informed: Develop understanding of agricultural industries and national agriculture news influencing lending strategies.
• Collaborate: Support on departmental projects with the Credit Leadership team.
