Job summary

APCO is hiring rising seniors and recent graduates for a full-time, paid internship in our New York or Washington, D.C. office.

The program sits in the Office of the Executive Chairman and offers exposure to international affairs, cross-regional projects, and global client work. Responsibilities include researching Africa-related policy, drafting memos and presentations, collaborating across regions, developing client proposals, compiling media lists, and editing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Recent college graduate or senior.
• Experience with Africa-focused policy, market, or regional work is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on political, economic, and policy developments across Africa.
• Draft and refine memos, presentations, and thought-leadership materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regional projects.
• Assist in developing client proposals and narrative structuring.
• Identify and compile lists of media contacts.
• Edit and proofread client deliverables.
