Job summary

Austin Industrial, Inc. is seeking a paid accounting intern for a 12-week full-time program in Decatur, IL (mid-May 2027 to early August 2027). The internship offers exposure to general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, and field accounting within our industrial operations.

The intern will collaborate with departmental teams, gain hands-on experience, and complete a final project that delivers a meaningful process improvement or deliverable.

Qualifications

• Active college student pursuing an Accounting degree or related discipline.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day Accounting activities and special projects.
• Gain exposure to general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, and field accounting.
• Participate in meetings and cross-functional initiatives to learn operations.
• Complete a final internship project that yields a meaningful improvement or deliverable.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
