Job summary

Cerity Partners in Louisville is seeking a motivated undergraduate for a summer internship in our Corporate Accounting team. This paid internship runs 30-40 hours per week and offers hands-on experience in bilateral AR/AP processing, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

You'll work with a collaborative team, gain exposure to senior leadership, and participate in real client discussions and internal projects while aligning with Cerity Partners' values and mission.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Identify with Cerity Partners’ mission and demonstrate our core values.

Responsibilities

• Assist account leads with various aspects of the accounting process, including batch accounting in AR and AP.
• Process and post transactions and related journal entries and financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Gain first-hand experience with the accounting process in multiple industries.
• Shadow and participate in client presentations.
• Participate in employee social and volunteer events.
• Work with a team virtually to create a financial planning project or other projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
