Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho seeks driven Process Technicians for a 12-week onsite paid internship. You will monitor wafer processes, analyze data, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve yield and efficiency.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work in cleanroom and office environments. Relocation support and housing subsidy are provided, with travel costs covered.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s (e.g., SMT, Mechatronics) STEM related or Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have knowledge of Thermodynamics and have taken Statistics.
• Willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho for internship and post-graduation employment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Capable of standing up to 10 hours per shift, walking 1–5 miles, and performing tasks in confined spaces.
• Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments and occasional PPE.
• Willing to alternate between Remote Operations Center (80%) and in-FAB (20%).

Responsibilities

• Complete all required safety training and work safely in various environments.
• Manage semiconductor tools, conduct technical evaluations, and optimize wafer fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workstations and analyze data for improvements.
• Set up and monitor processing tools, guide operators in office and cleanroom environments.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech, manage time effectively, and follow procedures.
• Use Microsoft Office tools and manage up to 25 online manufacturing systems.
• Conduct technical experiments in wafer fabrication and prepare data visualizations to identify issues.
• Leverage AI with approved resources to identify efficiency gains related to safety and quality.
