Qualifications

  • Pursuing an Associate’s STEM-related degree or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Thermodynamics and Statistics.
  • Willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho for internship and post-graduation employment if offered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
  • Able to stand up to 10 hours per shift, walk 1–5 miles, and work in cleanroom/ PPE.
  • Willing to alternate between Remote Operations Center (80%) and in-FAB (20%).

Micron is seeking driven Process Technicians to support wafer manufacturing operations by monitoring processes, reviewing data, and partnering with engineering and production teams to enhance yield, quality, and overall efficiency. This position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, along with the capability to troubleshoot issues and manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to established procedures.

Qualified candidates will have intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience extracting, analyzing, and effectively communicating data insights. Success in this role relies on strong teamwork and communication, solid organization and time‑management skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and flexibility regarding responsibilities and shift assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete all required safety training, work safely in various environments (including uneven terrain and confined spaces), and respond to potential hazards to prevent accidents.
  • Manage semiconductor tools, conduct technical evaluations, and work with cross‑functional teams to optimize wafer fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workstations, troubleshoot complex issues, and analyze data to support process improvements.
  • Set up and monitor processing tools, guide operators, and perform tasks in both office‑based workstations and cleanroom Fab environments to support R&D and production activities.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and speech, manage time effectively, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools and manage up to 25 online manufacturing systems to complete tasks and analyze data in an office‑based setting.
  • Conduct technical experiments in wafer fabrication, process test runs, and prepare data visualizations (charts, graphs, records) to identify yield and process issues.
  • Aptitude for leveraging AI with the Micron approved resources to identify efficiency gains related to safety, quality, and or tactical work
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing an Associate’s (e.g., SMT, Mechatronics) STEM (Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management ) related or Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Math, Physics, Chemistry).
  • Must have knowledge of Thermodynamics and have taken Statistics
  • Willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho for the internship and post‑graduation employment if offered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
  • Capable of standing up to 10 hours per shift, walking 1–5 miles, and performing tasks in confined spaces or while crouching/kneeling.
  • Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments and occasional PPE.
  • Willing to alternate between Remote Operations Center (80%) and in‑FAB (20%) environments.
