Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise invites enrolled students in an AAS program in Mechatronics or related fields to join a hands-on Fab Equipment Maintenance Technician Intern program.

Interns will gain exposure to semiconductor fabrication, safety protocols, preventive and corrective maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within our state-of-the-art cleanroom facility. Relocation to Boise is required for the 3-month internship with onsite paid placement, housing

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related field of study.
• Relocating to Boise, Idaho to complete a 3-month internship.
• Willing to relocate to Boise if offered a full time role after internship.
• Preferred: Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Instrumentation, Automation programs.
• Mechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic fundamentals of electricity.
• Intermediate PC skills.
• Using Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Complete required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies.
• On the job training for preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Receive training and participate in area continuous improvement programs.
• Partner with operations technicians and shift engineers/technicians to complete daily priorities that improve learning cycles.
• Provide troubleshooting support for equipment-related problems and address root causes.
• Improve equipment availability by investigating chronic tool problems and finding solutions.
• Maintain documentation on tool status, including observations and work performed.
• Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety and quality issues.

Education

AAS in Mechatronics/Robotics/Engineering Technology or related field
