Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a paddock official in New Mexico to verify horse identity, supervise equipment, and support race safety. You will coordinate with stewards and trainers and ensure accurate race flow during training and racing hours.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and proficiency with English. Applicants should be comfortable with Microsoft Office and professional appearance standards as part of a fast-paced racing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by policy.
• Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce New Mexico Racing Commission rules.
• Verify horses in paddock by race number and post position.
• Ensure proper equipment and safety in paddock for racing.
• Announce pertinent information regarding races and updates with Stewards.
• Maintain smooth flow of horses entering and exiting paddock for safety.
• Be available to work all training, schooling, or racing hours.
