Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the PACU to join a team‑based perioperative setting. The RN works full time (36 hours) with day shifts 7:00am to 8:30pm Mon-Fri and 7:00am-7:30pm Sat-Sun, with call. Requires RN licensure, nursing diploma or degree, and 1 year RN or residency experience; PACU/CCU experience preferred. BCLS required; ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Nursing licensure/qualification required for hire
• RN or residency completion required
• 1 year RN or residency experience preferred
• 1 year PACU or Critical Care experience preferred
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in PACU setting
• Respond to patients’ safety, physical, psychological, and social needs
• Engage family/caregivers in care decisions and learning
• Maintain privacy, safety, confidentiality, and a healing environment
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality patient care during perioperative period
• Support unit-based council and ongoing nursing education initiatives
