Job summary

The Registered Nurse Surgical Services- PACU is a full-time role at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia, serving UVA Community Health in the Northern VA Culpeper area. PACU/ICU/ED experience is preferred, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

The RN will lead the care team, collaborate with physicians, and provide evidence-based nursing care while adhering to UVA policies. Licensure and CPI timelines apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills, multitask, prioritize quickly, communicate effectively, and use basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to promote optimal health.
• Utilize best scientific evidence and compassionate care in patient navigation.
• Manage and provide care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
• Perform essential nursing skills and administer medications with the five rights.
