Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU is seeking a Registered Nurse to contribute to the immediate post-operative care of pediatric through adult patients. The role emphasizes airway management, hemodynamic stability, and comprehensive post-anesthesia care.

Qualified candidates hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS or have them within 6 months, and demonstrate fundamental skills in pain control and wound assessment. Rotating shifts and call requirements are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide airway management and monitor hemodynamic stability for pediatric through adult post-operative patients.
• Maintain patient sedation status and monitor neurologic and neuromuscular function.
• Deliver adequate pain and comfort measures and assess wound/incision integrity.
• Collaborate with OR/ED/Inpatient teams, anesthesia, surgeons, PT, radiology, and pharmacy.
