Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN (PRN) for the PACU Main unit. You will deliver care to patients using the Nursing Process, assess, plan, intervene, and ensure safe, continuous care across shifts and transfers.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree (Associate or Diploma; BSN preferred), RN licensure, and certifications (BCLS, ACLS; PALS preferred). One year of PACU/ICU/ED experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• One year RN experience in PACU/ICU/ED strongly preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse on Hire requirement.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days.
• PALS upon Hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
