Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for PACU and Pre-Op care. The role focuses on providing patient-centered nursing across the perioperative continuum, coordinating care with physicians and the surgical team.

The RN will monitor patients waking from anesthesia, manage pain, fluids, dressings, and post-operative education, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure required; BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications commonly expected

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Document patient care and ensure accurate charting.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and medications.
