Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM is seeking a dedicated PACU RN to provide patient-centered care as patients emerge from anesthesia. You will monitor conditions, manage pain, and support safe recovery while collaborating with a surgical team.

The role emphasizes critical care, adherence to protocols, and patient-family education. Eligible candidates must be a licensed RN with recent acute-care exposure and be prepared for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in the state.
• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• BCLS and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable per facility.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and team members.
• Demonstrates patient-centered care and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with care team and physicians to ensure effective outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist during procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge care.
