Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will provide focused, high-quality care as patients recover from anesthesia, monitor vitals, manage pain, and support safe outcomes.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus up to 15,000 for eligible candidates and relocation assistance. Additional benefits include student loan repayment up to 20,000, licensure reimbursement, and standard health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required or student rotations.
• RN licensure in good standing required or eligible for licensure in New Mexico/compact state.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with policies and nursing process.
• Assesses patients, documents findings, and reports changes to care team promptly.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects per standards.
• Supports physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Develops and updates care plans with the care team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Follows infection control protocols and maintains a safe environment.
