Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a PeriAnesthesia Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative care across age groups in a hospital setting. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the surgical team.

The role requires BLS/ACLS (PALS within 60 days), 2 years in critical care areas, and Texas RN licensure. You will participate in on-call rotations and help with service and quality initiatives while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with Texas RN license.
• BLS & ACLS required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years of nursing experience in ICU/ED/Recovery or critical care.
• Knowledge of nursing standards and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; additional languages preferred.
• Computer literacy for essential job duties.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to staffing schedules and attendance policies.
• Participates in on-call rotation for PACU.
• Directs and supervises ancillary staff in pre/post-operative areas.
• Provides direct patient care and demonstrates clinical competence.
• Participates in nurse orientation and departmental meetings.
• Maintains cross-training in PeriAnesthesia and supports call schedules.
• Communicates changes in patient status to physicians, family, and staff.
