Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver therapeutic care and coordinate post-anesthesia recovery for diverse patient populations. You will work under supervision in Perioperative Services and collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires a BSN, CA RN license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) with PACU or high-acuity ICU experience. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

• BSN required; grandfathered BSN if hired prior to 12/2019.
• 1 year PACU experience or 1 year in a high acuity ICU prior to application.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Know ledge of medical procedures incl. blood collection and apheresis per policies.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• CA RN license.
• BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS Healthcare Provider.
• PALS Healthcare Provider.
• CCRN or CPAN preferred.

• Supervises under RN Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Director of Perioperative Services.
• Applies evidence-based standards and contributes to quality improvement.
• Educates patients and families about health treatments and care plans.
• Delegates tasks based on scope of practice and competency.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and adapts the care plan as needed.
• Advocates for patients and assists in advancing plans of care.
• Collaborates with surgeon and staff to provide direct PACU care.
