Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA, seeks a PACU RN to assess, plan, and deliver post-anesthesia care across age groups. You will promote continuity of care, participate in patient and family teaching, and uphold professional nursing standards in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing school, Washington RN license, BLS and ACLS certification; PALS encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum one year recent PACU or critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Current Washington State nursing license, required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the PACU.
• Promotes continuity of care for patients, providing direct care.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practices in the clinical setting.
• Has on call responsibilities.
