Halcyon Nurse Staffing, LLC is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem assignment in Marrero, Louisiana. You will care for patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, monitor recovery, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe discharge or transfer.

The role requires an active RN license, EPIC experience, and a minimum of 1 year of acute-care PACU experience within the last 5 years, with strong communication and critical-thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute-care RN experience in PACU or the applicable specialty within the last 5 years
• EPIC experience required
• Strong post-anesthesia and post-operative patient care experience
• Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

Responsabilités

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Perform ongoing assessments of vital signs, airway, respiratory status, pain, and level of consciousness.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Manage post-operative pain, nausea, and other recovery-related symptoms.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative care.
• Follow facility policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
