Job summary

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Part-time PACU nurse for day shifts at our Northeast Surgery Center in New York.

The role involves monitoring patients in the post-anesthesia recovery phase, assisting with cardioversion, line insertion, complex wound care, and care of critically ill patients in the PACU setting. The ideal candidate has a NY RN license, 1 year of acute clinical or ICU experience, and ACLS/PALS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New York state. BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year acute clinical, med-surg or ICU experience preferred.
• Engages in orientation and continuing education; maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and deliver care for patients in the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
• Assist with procedures and care modalities including cardioversion, ECT, line insertion, complex wound care, and care of critically ill patients in PACU.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, clinical affiliates, and RNs to direct patient care.
