Job summary

Trinity Health's Northeast Surgery Center in the Town of Manlius, NY is seeking a part-time PACU nurse for day shift on a per diem basis. You will monitor and deliver post‑anesthesia care in an outpatient setting, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to nursing standards, and ongoing professional development. A NY nursing license and BSN are preferred; 1 year of acute care or ICU experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year acute clinical, med surge or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality‑nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the NY Nurse Practice Act, ASPAN and ASA standards.
• Utilizing the Nursing Process, plans, directs and supervises the care of patients and families.
• Collaborative team approach, coordinate and direct care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, clinical affiliates, and RNs.
• Monitor and deliver care for patients in the post anesthesia recovery phase of care.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure in NY or eligibility
