Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a PACU nurse in Sugar Land, TX. Under supervision, you will implement physician orders and ensure continuity and quality of care for post-anesthesia patients.

You will assess and monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, prioritize safety, and plan for discharge with a family-centered approach. 2 years of PACU/ER/ICU experience and active state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU, ER or ICU with telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and maintain continuity and quality of nursing care.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients and families in preparation for discharge.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Required Skills:

Education, Training And Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed in the state
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU, ER or ICU
