Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse for the PACU on straight night shifts, 36 hours per week, with eligibility for a $21,500 hiring incentive and up to $7 per hour in shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Annual relocation funds of up to $7,500 are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (RN) with Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong clinical skills, communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care as needed.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making and quality and safety education programs.
