The Medical Intensive Care Unit is a 24‑bed unit with a collaborative team, educators, and governance support, offering opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania; BLS certification should be current.
• Critical thinking and rapid decision‑making under stress; detail orientation with big‑picture perspective.
• Experience in advanced acute or ICU nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs.
• Promote adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of care, safety, and satisfaction.
• Provide compassionate care during patient‑nurse interactions and coordinate patient care.
• Coordinate patient care and staff interactions with interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver direct patient care: treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy and procedure.
• Participate in unit decision‑making regarding evidence‑based practice and safety initiatives.
