Job summary

Ascension St. John Owasso is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to lead post-anesthesia care in our PACU.

You will provide direct, high-acuity care for anesthetized patients, ensuring safe transitions from the operating room to recovery and coordinating with the surgical team. This full-time day-shift role requires active Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS qualifications with weekend or holiday call as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire; BLS within 1 month; Pediatric ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead immediate post-operative recovery for anesthetized patients.
• Provide direct, high-acuity care to ensure safe transitions from OR to recovery.
• Anticipate and manage clinical needs based on pathophysiology and procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and follow evidence-based protocols (AORN/ASPAN).
• Document and communicate patient progress to the care team.
