Job summary

Oklahoma Surgicare, a part of HCA Healthcare in Oklahoma City, is seeking a dedicated PACU Nurse to support safe postoperative care in our ambulatory surgery center. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, monitor patients, manage airway and IV access, and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher required.
• 1+ years nursing experience in PACU/ICU/Surgery preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification required at employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area with equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients per policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters/saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluation using an approved scoring system.
• Check dressings/operative sites and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide safe, comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure discharge criteria are met.
