Job summary

Highmark Health's St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA seeks a Part-time Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. You will assess patients recovering from surgery, lead care teams, mentor staff, and ensure safety and quality through the nursing process and effective communication with families.

This role requires PA RN licensure or eNLC, CPR certification, and mandated clearances. A specialty certification is favored to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
• CPR certification is required.
• Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73 background clearances are required.
• FBI fingerprinting clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Mentor staff and support team success.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skills.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and quality efforts.
• Develop patient care plans using the nursing process.
