Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. This full-time day shift position includes occasional evenings and on-call requirements.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced critical care environment, providing leadership and collaboration across disciplines. Ideal candidates have PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR certification, and a commitment to patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure (or multi-state licensure via eNLC) is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Preferred: certification in a nursing specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and plan nursing care in a fast-paced PACU setting.
• Provide leadership and delegate tasks based on staff skills.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and improve clinical care.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify the team.
• Promote patient safety and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and organizational activities.
