Job summary

Safety Harbor Surgery Center in Clearwater, FL, is seeking an RN Preoperative PACU (PACU RN) to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care as patients emerge from anesthesia or sedation. You will monitor, assess, and support patients and families, ensuring safety and comfort throughout recovery.

The role requires an accredited RN degree, active state license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/CCU experience, with strong nursing judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state where the center operates.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Evaluate patient condition and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with appropriate tasks and sterile technique.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care from emergence to discharge preparation.
