Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse (PACU) for HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital. Join a high-acuity team that supports colleagues and participates in hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate post-operative care; instruct patients and families on medications; maintain records; and administer medications per orders. Requires FL RN licensure, nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), current BLS; ACLS/PALS after 6 months; strong

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse licensure (or compact) with active FL RN within 60 days of hire
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS required after 6 months
• PALS required after 6 months
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate post-operative patient care in PACU
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and results
• Administer medications according to physician orders
