Job summary

HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for our PACU. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment and join an amazing team that supports one another.

The role involves assessing and managing post‑operative patients, teaching patients and families, maintaining records, and administering medications per physician orders. An active FL RN license, nursing education, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact licensure; active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for post-operative patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications following physician orders.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for our PACU. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of post-operative patients.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
