Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Patient Care as RN
• ACLS/BLS/PALS/RN certifications required upon hire
• Ability to read, write and speak English; proficient computer skills and use of technology in clinical care

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient-centered care reflecting diversity in age, gender, disease, and culture.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds and patient teaching.
• Maintains current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates safe quality patient care and fosters inclusive team communication and documentation.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance across care teams.
• Participates in data collection and uses evidence to address clinical questions.
• Proactively plans for patient care across the care continuum while delivering direct care.
• Develops protocols in collaboration with care managers to improve outcomes (reduce readmissions, length of stay, and adverse events).
• Ensures efficient use of human and material resources and adheres to policies and code of conduct.
